This is a real story of a principal of a famous Univeristy whose wife has been suffered from Alzheimer's. Years passes by, she doesn't even know her own husband. So, this gentleman has some nurses taking care of her at home. Someday, he declares that he wants to quit so he will have more time taking care of his wife. Of course, they try to talk him around to stay. One of a guy even says that " I really don't understand why you want to do that? Your wife doesn't even know you."
This gentleman looks into his eyes and says " I had already commited myself to this woman 50 years ago. She might not know me but I know who she is". This is the story I read this morning and I was touched. It said that many ppl commit themselves at the begining or when it is romantic. But what about after years goes by or when there is no passion. It said that marriage is about commitment, promise; not just feeling.
I don't know how many ppl agree this nowadays. I think the point isn't about what is more important but too often ppl emphasized the importance of feeling only. It seems feeling is the only thing it matters, once feeling gone then it's over. Actually, I didn't think too much about this. While I was reading this, what's in my mind isn't about marriage but the relationship with God. I think this is just exactly like God and us. We might not know Him or His love but He knows who we are and loves us as who we are. What a great love He has for us.

As my supervisor allowed me to take few days off and maybe work at home for a week so I can have some rest. I got a call from other dept this morning, they had a talk show interviewed ppl from other country. Therefore, they need someone to translate it into Chinese. There is no transcription, so I need to listen to the interview and translate it. Idon't think this is easy but interesting though. I am glad that I got the chance. I will do my best!!! God really knows how to cheer me up!!

Remember while I was doing my dissertation, I had been in trouble finding the interviewers. I tried everything I could, but was in vain for few weeks. I had been thinking about giving up at that time. Though I knew i wouldn't give up, I allowed that voice repeat in my mind once. I have thought giving up is the easiest choice one can made, especially when you do your best for a long long long time and everything is in vain. You can't see the way out. You might start to wonder will this work ? Does this make any differences? When can I get out of this tunnel? Hanging there and keep moving really needs determination.
However, months ago while I was watching our own programme interview a christian film director who filmed a very popular movie recently( He was interviewed before the movie became very popular)He was noboday before this movie and was in debt 30000000 N.T dollars for this movie only. Not to memtion how much he has been lend. Anyway, 30000000 N.T.dollars is more than 500000 pounds. Even though, he is still hanging there just to fullfill his dream/passion. The host asked " haven't you thought about giving up? " His answer was he didn't have the courage to give up. I am not sure what he meant. Is it not haveing enough courage to give up his dreams or what? Anyway, this is interesting. Kind of giving me a second thought.

This soap is quite easy to make. All you need to do is just putting everything together, and that's it.
So what you need is carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, onion, celery, tomato paste and one bouill cube. I think you can just put anything you like. So if you do not have time to cook and you need some veggies. This is something you wouldn't want to miss. Will try pumpkin soup next week. It seems quite yummy and easy to make, too.

A friend of mine mentioned his new favoite song which was called "Que reste-t-il de nos amours? " in his blog. It reminds me of another song -S.O.S by ABBA- even though these two songs are quite diferent. The very first time I felt interested about ABBA was because the x-factor, then this friend lend me their CD. Personally, I prefer S.O.S but I
guess its possible because I dont understand French XD. Another things is I think ABBA has kind of magic-their music just amuses me. Like the lyrics of S.O.S actually were a bit heavy but with the music, it just made me smile. Another good example is money, money, money. Its really funny. The lyric was just matched perfectly with the music , I think.
So here comes S.O.S

很多時候,事實已擺在眼前
但人卻不願相信
其實是不願意面對真相
面對或許不容易
卻是唯一的方法
要說誠實是最好的政策
我想
面對也是最好的政策

Thomas visited us on Wed and left today. Unfortunetely, I was busy working so didn't get to see him. As I heard that the first time he visited Taiwan was for 921, and that's he get to know my coworkers. This time, he just came to see old friends. As for me, we have their news on every week so I got to see him on tv while working at the studio (後製). I think it kind of strange to see somebody whom you saw on tv everyweek face to face. It's nice though. Anyway, my coworkers took him have a look of Taipei and brought back some photos. He looks exactly like on tv,just a bit darker. He is a India American.
