Watched a movie at the office today. Actually,it's a documentary of a man called Ami and his remarkable journey. Ami was diagnosed with spinal muscular dystrophy when he was one year old and was predicted that he wouldn't live to grow up. Unable to move any part of his body except his one finger, he is just like anyone of us- want to fulfill his dreams. Like his friend said, "the only differences between Ami and us is just the weight. "
So he left Isreal and started his journey in America. From the beginning, his parents wanted him to gave up and even in the middle of the journey, his friend wanted him to quit because of his physical condition. Ami just didn't want to. He said," death is something that happens...either you want it or you don't want it...it happens. I won't say I'm not afraid of dying. I just hope that when I die, I die after I fulfill all my dreams."
When he found the doc who diagnosed his illness, he wanted his doc to know that he survived and enjoys his life everyday. He told the world with his action that " with love for life and love for love itself, it's strong enough to bring ppl to do things that are almost impossible. These things are enough to survive anything, any sickness. Nomatter how hard it may be, one can never give up hope-for lifw and for love.
I guess I do understand what he thought about death. Worth to take a look!
