1/29 arrived Xiamen around 1pm
after lunch and found the place to stay (128RMB per room). It's not a hotel, more like what we called 民宿 in Taiwan. Clean!
we headed to Gulanyu island.
view from Gulanyu island. 5 minutes from Xiamen by boat (8 RMB). So many ppl and I didn't even have to walk from the dock to the boat, ppl just pushed you. very crazy!

You can get a day pass visiting most famous spots there with only 80RMB. I think it's worthy. Unfortunitely we spent 90 RMB for 3 building (珍奇館, Taiwan histry and Gulanyu histry), both my bro and me thought it's not worthy. First, I didn't see the point for Taiwanese to go there to see the histry of Taiwan. But I guess we thought it's kind of interesting to see ourself from their point of view. And for ppl in china, it's probably also quite interesting. Second, the 珍奇館 were just a building with animals in small cages in a house. I might wrong but it's more like ppl use them to get money and not care much about the living condition of these animals. Anyway, I wouldn't recommand this. After spending the whole afternoon there, we went back to Xiamen. And spent the night at 中山Rd, just looking around.
We went to Xiamen University the next morning and Hu Li Shen( just 10 0r 20 minutes walk from the Universuty) It's very easy to travel around Xiamen city by buses. It cost 1 RMB where ever you go. Comfortable and cheap! We walked and took buses everywhere we went.
