According to my plan, I took Taima ship from Keelong harbor to Matsu. Matsu consists of 5 major islets; Nangan, Beigan,Dongyin,Jyuguang and Lian. (Even Matsu and Kinmen are very close to china, they belong to Taiwan.)

the map was taken from beigan township administration, Matsu

As I was traveling alone, they put me into an economy class especially for female only. Actually, this economy class is just next to other economy class and there is no door to separate it with others. Therfore even though it says that no guys are allowed to enter this place, ppl can if they want to. The carrodor is a bit narrower though compared with other economy class, I guess it's because ppl will be noticed what happened if someone calls for help. Personaly,I do feel secure in that space.
(Taima ship)
The ship left around 10pm and arrived Dongyin islet at 6:30am the next morning and then arrived at Nangan islet at 8:30. As sson as I arrived Nangan, I bought the ticket to Beigan and arrived there around 10:30.
(transportation between Nangan and Beigan)
After settled myself in Cinbi Guesthouse, I walked to Beihai Tunnel then up to a hill to the biggest village and had my lunch there. Kept on walking along the beach to Houao village where Mt. Daao located after lunch, I kept on walking on the path.
(the guesthouse I lived for the first night. What a luxury to live here all by myself ^^)

Back to the starting point
I walked everywhere with the only map I had in my hands. I was planing to take the same route back to the guesthouse as it's getting dark in one and half hours. It might take me 2 hours to go back, besides, due to the tide was probably in at that time. There would be no way I could go through Beihai tunnel, therefore, I took the chance to take another route. On the way, I found a gas station and ppl there showed me a shortcut. And when I wasn't sure which shortcuts to take (there is no sign at all), another guy showed me the way. so I was able to go back before it became very dark. You could hardly find anyone on the road (except in the villages)so if that guy wasn't happen to be there, I would lost in the montains. Phew!! What a wonderful day, I would say.
Back to Cinbi
I was the only turist that day, therefore, the owner of the guesthouse invited me to have dinner with them. How nice they were!
